New Domain? Empty New Domain?

My forum won a free domain and I have a couple of questions.
Is it totally free or at some point I would have to pay for it?
Most of the people are going to still write the old address, is it going to directly connect them to the new? Or how will they find it?
Are there any changes in the admin panel?

People can use old domain (that called sub domain) with the new domain

The free domain is only good for a specific time period. So after the time period period is over, you will have to use credits to continue using the domain.
