Create redirection message?
Is it possible to create a redirection message and enable it to show every time a member log in to my forum? For example if a member log in, after he/she press the log in button, a message will automatically show up that says "Thank you for loging in, username." If this is possible, how do I do that? Thanks in advance.

Re: Create redirection message?
For this you need a pop up message code, the following may work, but i havent tested it yet. Place it in your homepage message box.
Just change the bit inbetween the bold tags.
- Code:
<!-- Start Alert PopUp Message Prompt JavaScript Code -->
<!--
// == This Script Free To Use Providing This Notice Remains In Place ==
// == This Script Has Been In The http://www.DesignerWiz.com Javascript Public Archive Library ==
// == NOTICE: Though This Material May Have Been In A Public Depository, Certain Author Copyright Restrictions May Apply ==
-->
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">alert("[b]You are entering DesignerWiz.com Web Site - We put interaction into your Web Site presence needs and solutions[/b].")</script>
<!-- End Alert PopUp Message Prompt JavaScript Code -->
Just change the bit inbetween the bold tags.
Re: Create redirection message?
Thanks a lot, zinex. It worked, but the message turned out like this:
"<Strong>text</Strong>". Is it possible to delete the strong tags? BTW, is it possible to customise the redirection message so that it show different usernames every time a different member log in? eg. "Thanks for logging in, username." Thanks for all your help.

Re: Create redirection message?
i think you can delete the strong tags. for the username part, follow these instructions
https://help.forumotion.com/manage-the-appearance-of-your-forum-f45/guide-add-me-code-to-your-forum-t9825.htm and in your message pop up, type the following:

- Code:
thanks for logging in, {username}
Re: Create redirection message?
Thanks for all your help. I've tried all your instructions and I'm glad to inform you that it did work for the chatbox. However, can I set this redirection message upon my members log in to my forum, instead of the chatbox? Thanks again, zinex and I apologise for all the trouble.

Re: Create redirection message?
well i quite liked this code so i pinched it too! I tried it out in the index and found that each time the page refreshed it popped up again and again. So i edited my portal template and it only comes up the once when members first see the portal. Unfortunately the username part doesnt work.
Re: Create redirection message?
It's o.k. , zinex, thanks for your helpful guides.
