Help needed with Prefixes

ok so i have done as others have suggested when trying to create a prefix for solved! I have looked at the guides and done as they say and i dont know how to activate them!

the current code is

jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery(/'#modif_topic_title/').after(/'<input type=/"button/" value=/"Solved/" onclick=/"set_solved(this.form.elements[\'modif_topic_title\'],\'[Solved]\')" style=/"display: inline;/" id=/"button_Solved/">/');
