It would be handy if members could be added to a defaultgroup on registring. I think there was a mod for PHPBB 2 that dit this.

actually, i am 113% for this.

in fact, allow me to add one more thing.

a member MUST join a group upon registering, and that they can ONLY join that one group.


of course, group transfers can be requested and approved or denied by mods and admins

Yes, please ad this feature. Just make the option to add a group as the default group.

I think this is a great idea.

I have groups and have too add members who join too a group and it can be a pain at times.If this was possible for them too be automatically added,it would be really useful

As long as it is optional then Im for it. If it was done without the option of turning it off then I would be against it as members on my site are specially sorted into houses (groups) and a default group add on registering would mess this up. Otherwise, great idea

I'd love it if the members went into a group automatically, gets tiring putting many members into a group.
