i need this arcade in my forum plz...

First of all i want to thank you for giving us a chance to express our self by providing free forum. I have made a forum recently and i am working on it but all my friends need arcade section in forum and so do members ok let me upload the the file cuz here is no option for attachment.

And one thing i have made a free forum for example:

Now i want to change it to some other free domains like (forumotion etc) and the forum which i made the database size is limited plz provide us a little bit more space so we can express our self better if it is limited we would like to know upto how(MB/GB) it is.

I don't know if I'm not wrong ... but it seems to me that the rapidshare file you have up there is some mod for phpbb ...

thats not gonna work. forumotion runs under its own set of codes and there is no way to install mods or updates manually.

But there is a way to create the arcade.
First you need to find a site that offers free flash games, and gives you a "<div" code for embedding.

when you have found a site like this... go to your admin panel -> modules -> html management... and create a new page.

if you know something about html then deselect the

Code:

Do you wish to use your forum page header and page footer ?

If you don't know html select the footer and header
and also deselect the

Code:

Use this page as homepage ?

now in your editor paste the embed code for your game... and save ...
copy the link to your new page and open it ... you'll see you html with a game in the center.

you can then go back to your html menu and create an opening page with thumbnail links to your games... its best to create 1 html page for each game!

this is quite a large and long process to explain ... thats why I've given you the basics.

Another way, is to use a pre-built system that you can simply add a link to from your forum pages. A decent one, that is free, is jcink. They offer two types, one that they host, and one that you host on your own site. Either one you can modify the look of to match your forum.

you need to have some free web hosting to upload it too as forumotion doesnt offer this.

I would use this one: http://www.000webhost.com/

create an accoun then upload all the arcade files from the quick arcade. Follow the instructions that come inside the file to install. You can then link your arcade to your website by adding a navigation link to it

I need help to have it on my site. I opened a webhost account..I downloaded the Quick Arcade files and now I'm stuck. I suck at this...but I'm great at graphics! Perhaps a trade in services? haha please?

Upload ALL of the arcade zip file into your public_html directory. You would then point your browser to the address of the arcade install php file you uploaded.

Go to the FAQ on the homepage here...it explains very concisely how to create a new domain name. Or, in your admin panel, click on the monster in the bottom right that says help. The title of the thread should have "Domain name" in it. You should be able to find it right away.

I've uploaded the files to the public folder, then went to the website click on php...... and click begin instaltion and then put in my sqldatename etc

But it keeps coming up with
Database Install Complete
Install to the database was SUCCESSFULL!


Failed to write to conf
arcade_conf.php could not be opened for writing. Please check the permissions.


How to do i check permissions ??

Ah right i've done all that, but when i do the jclink wizard install, it doesn't complete it because it comes up with

okay you need to go to your file manager with your free account (where you uploaded arcade too. Select the arcade config file using the check box to the left of it and in the top right hand corner of the table select the CHMOD button. Ignore the set all permissions box, below that tick ALL the boxes and save. then try the install again
