Solved SEO bots inactive/not able to verify?

Post by Darren1 October 19th 2009, 7:56 am

Hello,

Recently trying to add a site to the Google, yahoo & bing (msn) webmaster tools has been unsuccessful due to the "Meta tag" not being found, yet the tags are in correct content and position.

Iv noticed in means on the french support forum that they are also having this problem.
I also notice that The Godfather states that this is not as a result to the server migration SEO bots inactive/not able to verify? Icon_confused
(that's on the French Support Forum)

Does anyone have a clue on whats going on?

Well, I've got google meta tags working on my site.

Example:
<meta name="verifyname" content="********************" />

So, add the verifyname to here: "name" attribute
and the ******************* etc. to here: "content" attribute

and you should have it verified. Note: just in the quotation marks, even if it looks dodgy.

So,
Code:
google-site-verification
goes in the "name" attribute field and
Code:
vzrB6R5WBCLCZl4DopUczIhh_3WcXmTsNrMV62Res_w
goes in the "content" attribute field. Then go back and click verify.

OK then, on Google Webmaster Tools or whatever, make sure you've typed in the address correctly.
