Solved Need HTML help and Appearance help

Post by XDirect12345 on November 21st 2011, 8:49 pm

MY FORUM IS LOCATED HERE

1) Is there any way to put a Jotform form on the registration page or on an HTML page? Every time I keep putting in the HTML code or embed it or try to create an Iframe, or even link it to my forum, which I even tried here, it mistakes it as a phishing website and I cant seem to get it just the way I want it. I even tried to put it in a website and make that website an Iframe but it still reports it as a phishing website.

Once question #1 is answered and this problem is fixed I will go more in depth.

2) How do I create a homepage? Couldn't I just create a webpage then link it to my forum?
Example: MyPage.com, then when users click the "enter site" button it takes them to the forum index.

3) The contact page on the footer of my forum:
Contact Page located here

Is there any way to extend it like put email, username, ect? Can you edit it with HTML and embed your own form, which brings us back to question #1.

4) What if you want to add HTML or Javascript to a page or template? Do you have to use the default + your coding? Or add the coding anyways?

5) And finally, how do HTML pages work? How do you link them to your forum?

1 & 2. Administration Panel => Modules => HTML & JAVASCRIPT => HTML pages management;

4. This is the code for a HTML page:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
JAVASCRIPT CODE HERE
</script>
Also, you can use Javascript codes management;

5. You have a green button Create new HTML page.

Hi,

When you are creating a HTML page it asks you do you want to use it as your homepage. If you choose yes when you land on your forum you will land on your HTML page. There are no default codes for a HTML page. You need to add yours completely. JS you are planing to use on your HTML page you'll add it to your HTML page too. As said you can use them as your homepage or you can take its link after you create it:

And add it to your navigations in AP > Display > Headers and navigation > Add a customized menu

You have some tutorials on how to create it in Tips and tricks.

Hi,

Please don't use colors and bold as it's reserved for staff only.

For the number 2 question. No one can say in a word or two how to make it. You create it here:

Administration Panel > Modules > HTML & JAVASCRIPT > HTML pages management

You need to read the tutorials I linked you. You'll see it's not hard at all. It's not something that can be explained in a word or two.

As for the CONTACT page, question number 3. That you get default with FM. I mean, the one you showed there.

Go to > AP > General > Messages and emails > Emails & contact form > Contact form > Activate > Yes
