Moderate and Mute users

The ability to force a user's posts to not appear to normal users until it is approved by a forum moderator would be a nice ability as an alternative for banning for not entirely harmful users.

That ability would be called Moderate (not to be confused with a Moderator).

If you are a forum moderator or admin, unmoderated posts will say "This post has not yet been approved."

It would also say Approve or Reject. Rejecting deletes the post from your forum.

Also, the ability to stop a user from posting, but allow him to PM and view member only stuff and login would be an alternative to banning.

That ability is called Mute. A mute is considered softer than a ban.

A mute would work if the person is troublesome on the forums and would be sensitive to being banned.

You would be able to specify a time for a Moderate and a Mute just like for a ban.

It would be nice if you could give feedback on my suggestion.
