Adding contact methods

Hey all. I'm trying to add several fields to the contact sheet of our forum. The goal is to add Steam, Vent and IGN information into the contact page for all users. However when I add the field through the administration panel it does not seem modifiable on the user's side. That is to say when they type in their Steam name and hit save, nothing happens. They go back to a blank space in the contact page. Any help with this would be appreciated. The forum is shadowsgrasp.forumotion.com. Thanks.
