I get this message today in my PM inbox on my forum:

Dear Valued Customer,

We have received apparently legitimate complaints that you are
involved in sending bulk unsolicited emails, newsgroup posts, or
Instant Messenger advertisements for/from JUST-RETRONET.COM. If this is
the case, actieforum.com requests that you cease this immediately. Failure
to do so may lead to actions such as the suspension or cancellation
of service.

actieforum.com may or may not be hosting your site, but we are the
Registrar of the domain name. When you registered the domain name
with us you agreed to the terms of our Registration Agreement.

We'd like to bring Chapter 8 of this agreement to your attention:

8. RESTRICTION OF SERVICES; RIGHT OF REFUSAL

You agree not to use the services provided by actieforum.com, or to allow
or enable others, to use the services provided by actieforum.com for the
purposes of:

• The transmission of unsolicited email (Spam); and
• Repetitive, high volume inquires into any of the services provided
by actieforum.com (i.e. domain name availability, etc.).

If you are hosting your domain name system (“DNS”) on actieforum.com's
servers, or are using our systems to forward a domain name, URL, or
otherwise to a system or site hosted elsewhere, or if you have your
domain name registered with actieforum.com, you are responsible for ensuring
there is no excessive overloading on actieforum.com’s servers. You may not
use actieforum.com's servers and your domain name as a source, intermediary,
reply to address, or destination address for mail bombs, Internet packet
flooding, packet corruption, or other abusive attack. Server hacking or
other perpetration of security breaches is prohibited. You agree that Go
Daddy reserves the right to deactivate your domain name from its DNS
if actieforum.com deems it is the recipient of activities caused by your site
that threaten the stability of its network.

You agree that actieforum.com, in its sole discretion and without liability to you,
may refuse to accept the registration of any domain name. actieforum.com also
may in its sole discretion and without liability to you delete the registration
of any domain name during the first thirty (30) days after registration has
taken place. actieforum.com may also cancel the registration of a domain name,
after thirty (30) days, if that name is being used, as determined by actieforum.com
in its sole discretion, in association with spam or morally objectionable activities.
Morally objectionable activities will include, but not be limited to:

• Activities designed to defame, embarrass, harm, abuse, threaten, slander
or harass third parties;
• Activities prohibited by the laws of the United States and/or foreign territories
in which you conduct business;
• Activities designed to encourage unlawful behavior by others, such as hate
crimes, terrorism and child pornography;
• Activities that are tortious, vulgar, obscene, invasive of the privacy of a third
party, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;
• Activities designed to impersonate the identity of a third party; and
• Activities designed to harm or use unethically minors in any way.

In the event actieforum.com refuses a registration or deletes an existing registration
during the first thirty (30) days after registration, you will receive a refund of any
fees paid to actieforum.com in connection with the registration either being cancelled
or refused. In the event actieforum.com deletes the registration of a domain name
being used in association with spam or morally objectionable activities, no
refund will be issued.

PLEASE NOTE: You are required to respond to this notification within 24 hours to
address the situation and/or present evidence that you did not send spam. Please
be aware that failure to respond may lead to actions such as the suspension or
cancellation of service. Please also be aware that under the same Registration
Agreement, all contact information (including email address) for the Administrative
and Technical domain contacts must be valid and complete. If this information is
inaccurate, and is not changed within 5 days, you will be in breach of contract for
the registration agreement, and your domain name may be subject to cancellation.
Please refer to section 4 of the Registration Agreement for further information
regarding your obligation to maintain valid contact information.

If your contact information is accurate, we thank you.

Regards,

Network Abuse Department

Hello,

It seems like a complaint to your forum.
You may use the Google Translator Wink That's too much to read, however, if you're receiving such messages/threats, I suggest you to just ignore it unless there's something more to worry about.

The message says that you're involved in sending bulk unsolicited emails, newsgroup posts, or Instant Messenger advertisements for/from JUST-RETRONET.COM.

Also, is your domain name or your forum somehow related to this link?:

So is it an external domain name or from Forumotion? If it's an external domain name, when you bought the domain name from actieforum did it have some kind of TOS to be agreed on before you can use their domain name? Just to clarify things because this may be a serious matter about the e-mails you sent.

I think this is just a SPAM since you bought the domain name from Forumotion and this is not an external domain name, also, you won't have to worry if you follow our TOS. Wink

Hi Gill,

First, I'd like to say, that message, being it is in your Private Messages and deletable is NOT from ForuMotion, nor our Dutch counterparts, you are free to ignore it.
If it is in your administration panel index, then you will have a times with it, and it is coming from our Litigation (leal) department, and you must rectify it, however, by reading your text, they are demanding a response - The legal team does not ever request a response, unless provided via the admin panel.
That's never, ever been done, did I say Never been done?

Second, If you wish, you can use our Dutch Support Forum: http://ondersteun.actieforum.com/forum

Third, being that it's from a different part of ForuMotion, we are not informed of much, but they all have the same policies as each other.
All I can do is advise you to go check out the Dutch support forum, as it's their platform this is about. Sorry TT
