Chatbox on any forum page/topic

I added the chatbox to the front page of my forum. Is it possible to have it visible even when viewing topics or categories?

Each time I change topic, the FMChat closes.
Is it possible to leave it open, like facebook or so?

How would I scale the size of the FMChat though?
It´s a bit big.
