Wildcard Search Function
I note from previous threads that the Wildcard search function has been removed.
These links were vital for members that do not visit the forums every day and the links were more reliable than the 'recent posts' link, i.e. they didn't time out when members clicked off the search index and gave more flexibility.
Now the wildcard function is disabled, is there any other way to recreate the 7 day and 24 hour search in a link. If not, will the Techs be able to implement something?
Thanks.

Whilst I accept this, the problem I have on my forums is that I had set up quick links in the menu bars that showed 'Posts Last 24 hours' and 'Posts Last 7 Days'. These were created using the wildcard function, then saved as a tinyurl, and then added to Redirection URL in the Navlinks (under Headers & Navigation in the CP).Leeloo wrote:It won't be put back again, sorry. I already told you why the techs have made this choice. The techs have only disable the wildcard function in the advanced search because it was a request too heavy for the server

Re: Wildcard Search Function
I understand that having those two options would be best, but what about the "Posts since you have last visited?" option?
It would be: http://yourforum.forumotion.com/search?search_id=newposts

I have the 'Post Since....' on my site thanks, NaXuh, although I have renamed it 'Latest Posts' (which means the same).NaXuh wrote:I understand that having those two options would be best, but what about the "Posts since you have last visited?" option?

No, it's the 24 hour and 7 day function that I am requesting.

Re: Wildcard Search Function
In your searches, and from the topics you got those quotes from I provided the answer.
There is still wildcard search functionality.
