Board of Appeals - Punishment Release System

Post by Ramdaman on September 29th 2012, 2:09 am

Hello Forumotion Users,

I'm here to bring a suggestion to the Forumotion Support Forums, one that is unusual.

Well anyways, this could be called the "Board of Appeals" or "Board of Appeals System." This basically is about the warning/punishment system. The Administrators/Moderators can set up a format which you can copy and paste.

Example.

Code:
Forum Name: -
Forum Profile Link: -
Which punishment are you attempting to appeal: -
Why should you be relieved of this punishment: -
User that gave you this punishment: -

Basically, it's about warnings. I have received a warning, and if this gets implemented I'm on to my Board of Appeals thread. Though, I'll wait until if this is implemented/denied.

I feel people deserve the right to speak out and have a second chance.

Best of Regards,

Ramdaman.

Not really, we give 2 reminders first before giving out warnings, except for major offenses such as advertising, posting forum links, sending PM spams/advertising via PM etc.

And on your case, you send spam links via PM according to our records on your account which is directly a warning offense.

Someone requested for it to help me out with a Staff List widget.

I don't believe that was the one I was warned for. I needed help on something else and put the forum link saying "here's my forum" because I do recall one time (not sure in which forum) it said to leave a link to your forum.

It was Rideem3(Support moderator) who gave you the warning infraction, I suggest you to contact him for any further questions Wink

I agree with this, everyone should get a chance to appeal a warning or ban. Its only fair. Sometimes even moderators act quickly without thought or miss judge the situation or act too quickly or harshly.

I voted yes in this poll

Well I think we already made this clear, the general rules hasn't been changed since it was created(except for addition rules that was added) and we still don't have plans of changing it, long time ago we had a plan but it would be hectic since we would receive a lot of requests and we can't keep full track of it.

The rules are clear, after 2 reminders of the same offense, we'll be giving out warnings except for major offenses(you get a direct warning), you have rights to object by sending a PM to a General Administrator (Sanket) but regaining your warning bar wouldn't always be the case as we post proofs of your offenses to our staff room.

Since I already made this clear.
