The owner of that forum purchased a service I offer in which all members avatars are automatically regularly scraped into a JavaScript file for use anywhere in the forum. That's how he was able to inement them like that.

There's other scripts out there which use AJAX if you wish to give them a try. However I wouldn't recommend it if your forum has more than like 5 forums.

Please read through it before just chucking a detrimental and harmful code into your forum.
