Global Moderators Display. Empty Global Moderators Display.

Post by SpiritOfTruth January 13th 2013, 6:35 am

Okay, so for my forum moderators I want everyone to be able to moderate the forum that's in the group, but I don't want it to appear as moderators: Global moderators.

Forum is topicbuzz.forumotion.com

Please change the title of your topic, that is related to your question/issue, so that other users will be able to find their question/issue using the search engine.
Display>Structure & hierarchy
Display forum moderators :No
Save.

That sort of fixed it, but I want names to be displayed, not the group.

You still did not change the title of the thread to something related to the problem ? Confused

Users & groups>Search Users
Click on the username
Permissions tab.
Check Is Moderator for whichever forums.
Save

Also, you will need to remove the moderator group being displayed.
Users & groups>Group administration
Click on permissions corresponding to that group.
Uncheck is Moderator for whichever forums.
Save.

Also, since you want the names to be displayed, the post above which mentions the setting, don't do it.

Sorry, I believe I did not make myself clear

What I want to do is have main moderators for certain topics, but every moderator in the global mods be able to moderate every one of the categories. Like just their names

For topics, you cannot set permissions.

About the other thing, either both will appear or just their usernames if I understand your question correctly.

What I wanting to have, is have only certain people's names appear on forums. But I want everyone in the mods group to be able to edit every single forums

Yes. Still didn't answer the question. I'm not sure if I am really describing this good.

Hi,

What Sanket said above, is correct. Unfortunately you cannot display couple of usernames as Moderators, and having everyone able to moderate it. Either you display the actual Group or just the usernames you want/all usernames, mate. :thumbright:
