Watching the titles, but not the messages

I've seen this in many other forums, but I can't figure out the trick.

You can see the title of the post, but when you click on it, it asks you to sign in.
Can't seem to manage that in my forum..
Any ideas?
My version is phpBB2

Hello,

I am not entirely sure what you're asking, so if you could provide a link to a forum that does this then it will be helpful.

You could try checking 'View the forum' and unchecking 'Read the topics' for guests in the forum permissions to see if that's what you're trying to do.

I've taken a look and I was right. To do that, you need to have 'View the forum' checked and 'Read the topics' unchecked in the forum permissions.
