Do your jobs really entail just browsing this forum full-time? What other work do you do? Do you own forums of your own? How did you become forumotion staff, what drove you to do it? Do you work from some kind of HQ or do you all work from your homes?
And what about ex-forumotion staff? Where did they go with their lives? (If it's okay sharing).
I just ask because I think the staff could use some recognition and a little catching up would be nice. Maybe they can share a bit about themselves here - something they don't get to do often.
Personally, I've been here since Tristou, Cornelia, and Gizmo were running things here (and Gizmo later became The Godfather). The last time I was here, Cailhem and Typlo were still around. Though, I have no idea what my oldest account was anymore. The oldest I can find is from mid 2008. I could really use some catching up about what's happened.
Later I come and bam, pretty much all the staff have changed. I'm guessing a lot of them either parted with eToxic (the Admins) (I'm guessing Forumotion is still owned by eToxic?) or moved to another job within ForuMotion / ForumActif / eToxic.
I really like Forumotion and perhaps someday, after I've finished college, I'll ask about details from the administration about joining the team (though I'm not sure how to join. eToxic is a French website and France-based company, so I'm not sure if using their site contact form is the right idea). I've been using FM for as long as I can remember and it'd feel a bit suiting to finally join if I had the skillset they're looking for, which I hope to acquire from college and some work experience.
I remember that before FM I tried using GeoCities...*shudders*...glad I got saved from that, and got out of Yahoo in general early on.
I plan on being here pretty actively again, seeing as I'm working on making a new site with the guys at AvacWeb (and learn some more along the way). I just figured I should get to know the staff here too.
I know you're all very busy on this forum though, so I'm not sure if this will get replies or not, which is fine.
And yes, I got the IAmA idea from Reddit. I'm a pretty active Redditor.
Thanks. It's nice to be back.
