permissions question

hello

i have a question about moderators permissions

we recently have changed some things when it comes to boards and moderators

instead of having all boards being moderated by the group ''moderators''
we made it like (although we thought that it would become like that but not so sure anymore)
that moderators were assigned to certain boards
so the boards show now who can moderate there (the usernames)
and it doesnt just show the ''moderators'' group

now i've checked several times the permissions of the moderators per their account itself
and the permissions of the usergroup moderator....

the problem is... the usergroup moderators its permissions cannot moderate all boards anymore(because we wanted to assign certain moderators to areas....so they could only moderate the boards they are assigned to) but yet it seems all moderators , i think, can still lock/open etc topics even in the boards they are not assigned to as ''moderator''...

how is that possible?
