Removing the background from HTML tag, <blockqoute>

Same crap as before but now I know what I did wrong! Hooray!

Okay so my basic problem is that the blockquote HTML tag has a background and border that it shouldn't have.
Below is an image demonstrating this strange... sephia border that appears when I use this tag. Does anyone know how to remove it? I've already had Sanket and SLGray help me remove those stupid quotation marks, all that's left is the border.

That should not make any difference?
To me everything appears as it should i see no gray in it?
