Solved View Posts Since Last Visit Spacing Gap

Post by Dr.Intern on April 16th 2013, 3:39 am

When I go to the "View Posts Since Last Visit" advanced search option I get a gap between the "forum" and the footer as seen in the below picture:

It comes from the "clearfix" class. When I remove the code "clear: both !important" it solves this problem. But, doing so ruins a lot of other objects which use this class.

(I don't think that this problem can be observed without logging in, as I don't see this gap anywhere else.)

Edit:
This problem does not appear when there are no recent messages.

I can't create an account without a valid email address (already used both of mine up). There is an account created named "forumotion support." May I give out that account?

Edit: I renamed an unused account and gave it a new password.

If there are no new topics, there is no gap. But when there is at least one topic the gap will appear.

If you want to test it out, you may log in with the test account, make a random topic in off topic and check recent topics.

Add this to your css & check.
Code:
.clearfix:after, .ipbform2 dl:after {
    display: none !important;
}

Sankets' code should work, but if it doesn't try using this one:
Code:
.clearfix:after, .ipbform2 dl:after, .maintitle:after {
display: none !important;
}

I've tried the first code before, but that creates a lot of problems:

@Dr.Intern wrote:It comes from the "clearfix" class. When I remove the code "clear: both !important" it solves this problem. But, doing so ruins a lot of other objects which use this class.
I was asking if this is possible without modifying the clearfix class.

Add this to your css, will it work?
Code:

div#gfooter {
    margin-top: -4px important;
}

That is brilliant, I did not think of moving the footer up. And it doesn't affect anything else.

Thanks and solved.
