ok so i have added a favicon 
but even tho ive made it transparent on photoshop its not on website

what type of file did you save it as?

Try saving it as a .png

A png won't work as a favicon, it has to be an ico.

Sorry thats not possible, it goes against the rules of coding. Thats my understanding anyway.

Some older browsers such as IE 6 can't read a png favicon, only ico images. So if you want all browsers to see the favicon (and I'm sure you do) you should use a ico image.
