How do I get "You have to be logged in and registered.." to be taken away so guests can see it?

To modify the permissions of a forum so guests can view images do the following.
Administration Panel > General > Forum > Categories and forums

Click the button for one of your forums to modify its permissions.

To make it simple you'll be met with this:


You'll want to modify those permissions to whoever you wish to see the images. When you're finished remember to save.

You'll have to do this for each forum.

Do I have to individually do it for each forum?

Yes, you will have to do that individually for each forum.

To make it easy on yourself you can copy permissions from one forum to another. See below:

As before we'll go to
Administration Panel > General > Forum > Categories and forums

However, this time we'll click the button on one of our forums.

We can then choose to 'Copy forum permissions' from another forum to the one we're on now. So just choose your forum with the updated permissions and then save.

As mentioned you'll have to do this for each forum you have created that doesn't have the permissions you want.
