Trying to post an advert in a thread

The companies for which I am an affiliate generate banner codes something like this:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://adserving.company.com/ad.aspx?pid=9999999&bid=111111"></script>

I can usually get them to work in a forum widget but cant get them to display in a thread.

I have tried posting the above code directly into the thread, and have also tried using the url button and the flash button, none of them work.

The closest I have come is for the link to appear in text form rather than displaying the graphic, and then when you click on it it takes you to the hosted image rather than the target landing page.

How do I do this?

Topics can't handle Javascripts, sorry. Try enabling Html in the settings for messages.
