Solved Spoiler and code box appearance.

Post by usagi Tsukino on August 15th 2014, 1:45 am

Ok so i know we posted not that long ago about changing the size and color and i got this code.

Code:
.spoiler {
background: #5294C7 !important;
}
.spoiler {
height: 25px !important;
}
.spoiler {
width: 200px !important;
}

to make it look like this..

but what we were looking for is something more like this

but in a shorter size and the same color.

We are using Phpbb3 and here is a link to a spoiler in our board now. I have no idea how to change the appearance of the spoiler and i'm hoping we can get the code box to match.

Hi,

Have you tried adjusting the pixel values?

IE:
Code:
 .spoiler {
background: #5294C7 !important;
}
.spoiler {
height: 25px !important;
}
.spoiler {
width: 1000px !important;
}

Hello,

Is it possible to get the same code for that spoiler, but for phpBB2?

Thanks in advance!

hi when i change the pixel values it changes the size of the spoiler tag not the appearance of it. I don't want the bubble looking tag i want the sleeker look of the other.

all you need to do is change the PX size for the height and Width
Code:
height: 25px !important;
}
.spoiler {
width: 200px !important;
}
until you are happy with it or remove the width one then it will go back to its old size from default.
Code:
.spoiler {
width: 200px !important;
}
Hope that helps Wink

I've played with the px hight and width I don't want the bubble looking appearance of the tag the size is fine, its the way it looks that's the problem, how one is more like a simple box where the other has rounded corners and looks more like a bubble, I want the more box like appearance of the other tag, does that make more sense?

If it was just the hight and width I wouldn't have posted looking for help.

Hello,

Your spoiler must have the auto width and the auto height because you never know what the content will be. It might have something big and might not fit in the px you provide.
So. I managed to make your spoiler look like this.

If you like what you see and you want to have it in your forum please add the below codes in your CSS Stylesheet.
Code:
.spoiler_content {
border-top: none !important;
background: #535353;
width: auto;
padding-left: 5px !important;
padding-right: 5px !important;
border-radius: 3px;
}

dl.codebox {
background-color: transparent;
color: #E9E9E9;
border: none;
font-size: 1em;
padding: 3px;
}

.spoiler {
background: transparent;
height: auto;
width: auto;
}
Save it and you are done.

Note: Please note that you must remove the old codes that you have in your CSS with the same element. Search for: .spoiler, dl.codebox and for .spoiler_content and remove the code you have for each element and then replace the whole code provided above.
