Changing latest topics into latest posts?

wondering if it is possible to change the latest topics forum module into latest posts instead?

that or if someone can tell me how to make a new forum module that does that to replace the latest topics one.

no not title, the functionality.

i'd rather a widget show the most recent posts regardless of topic, rather than the latest topics posted in. not sure if i can alter the current widget or would have to make an all-new one (if it is possible to make)

The most recent topics are posts made in topics.. the most recent being first. So, you're wanting a widget that links to every new post. e.g. the direct link to the post ? ( like this )

If so, that could be a bit hard to achieve considering we don't have access to the database, and with our only option being AJAX, that could be a bit heavy.
