Modifying the groups

Post by Guest on August 18th 2015, 9:19 pm

To be honest, I think this forum needs to have a more professional feel to it don't you think? By removing those brackets from the groups like other forums have.(Biohazard.4umotion, pb2genocide.forumotion.com) Of course nobody will ever want this, but it was worth a try LOL....

Code: http://prntscr.com/865f7xAlso this: http://prntscr.com/865hp8

EDIT: This topicshould really be updated since Ace 1already gave us the correct code.

I see many phpBB 3 forums that have the brackets.

That's probably because they don't know the correct code lol.... or they just don't want it.

It's not a necessity, but your feedback is acknowledged.

As for the tutorial. The reason it calls for editing templates is to be universal; work on any forum version. The direct child method ( p > em > b ) is only for version phpbb3's legend, and if you happen to have this sequence in the DOM elsewhere it can also be affected.

The brackets are removed from the legend. Though this suggestion was negatively voted upon it appears it was accepted.
