    Hello,

Regarding the site under and the number of impressions per day, it depends on the location of the users because there are three local partners with different settings. For the majority of users, there is only one site under per day. But for the other users, there is one site under / 12h.

If you think that one site under / 12h on a forum with 0 point is too uncomfortable for the navigation, we can discuss with our ad networks to have only one site under / 24h.

The site under is just active if the forum is 100% inactive (0 point). Regarding your problems, it seems to be the case because it concerns "test" forums.

Solved Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)

Post by Pulleymonster May 18th 2016, 1:54 pm

    Hello,

I'm new to this and have just started up a new forum. I am gradually getting new members but having some trouble with the Mobile version of the site which seems to constantly redirect to other sites. It seems to go away if you change to 'Classic' mode (but you have to do this very quickly before you get redirected).

    - Ads redirecting on Mobile Version (Both Android and Apple):
    - Image location (copy and then past here) - Can't see/don't get a chance:
    - The link location (copy and then past here) - Can't see/don't get a chance:
    - There are two final locations I am getting a lot at the moment:
    exclusive.notification-00.com,
    mtz.adsrocket.net
    :

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Edit: Also, if I buy credits to remove ads, I assume this problem will go away?

Thanks for the clarification on that. I understand now. Personally, on the test forums, it don't matter, i was just bringing it to your attention , but on a more active one it would be annoying, being re-directed,

    Hello Pulleymonster,

About your trouble with the mobile version, the situation is not desired by Forumotion. We have some problems with mobile banners and forced redirections to the mobile stores. Our main problematic is to obtain all necessary data... It's complicated because we can't see the image address or link address.

Could you please confirm me your location? UK?

    Thanks.

First image is of me after signing in is my forum then when closed that pop up the second one popped up in a new tab same forum, nothing else is open but the forum, if i go to any other web page , i don't get the pops ups. It's a fake message to make you click the button, like the deceptive ad Ange has posted in another thread.

Members of my forum have started to report the same issue

    Forum: http://freeman-cruisers.forumotion.co.uk/

So far it has been seen on iPhone and Apple Mac Safari.
One of my more broad minded members reported one of them as "quite nasty, NSFW, children and certainly not wife friendly".

I have requested that they supply the other information requested and will provide any details as and when I receive them.

Who the problem concerns : Yourself
When the problem appeared : Today 07/06/2016 5.0pm
    Forum link : farina.forumotion.co.uk

    Description of problem

I am getting a flashing advert telling me I have a new message, which only leads to unwanted web site of a scam variety. I connect to an adult dating site or a 'I have won the lottery'. This appears in the section under the toolbar where legitimate adverts do appear. It is intensely irritating, I have run a security scan using Norton but to no avail.

    Can you advise?

    Hello kyokoong,

Please, can you be more specific regarding these information:

    - Url of your forum: http://tvxqfichome.thai-forum.net/ = ok
    - Ads displayed on PC, on tablet, on mobile (android, apple,...): Tablet, mobile (Chrome/Android, some for Safari/Apple) = ok

    I need too:

    - The locations of the members who get these redirections. Only Thailand? (really important to know which ad partner is displayed because ite depends on the location)
    - The version you use when the redirections happened: web or mobile version of the forum?

It's really weird because we replaced the problematic ad partner yesterday by "Forumotion" banners like this:

    • url of the forum:
    • ads displayed on: mobile (apple, safari)
    • location: the Netherlands

I don't have any printscreen nor url of the redirection page but it was a +18 datingsite with some detailed pictures. I didn't see the ad banner on the forum because it wasn't loaded. I know it isn't much but I hope you can work with the info provided.

I posted this problem originally on a thread about ads popping up; was told it sounds more like the problem in this thread. Ended up here while looking for information about popups taking over screens. I'm not a moderator, just a forum user -- http://thedalhouse.forumactif.org/ -- and I have had full-screen popups appear that say "Pay attention; you are now going to see nude photos of women in your area". It has happened when I click on a link to see the last post in a thread; it has also happened when I haven't clicked anything at all, or clicked to scroll down a page. I have reported it to the moderator.
Happens with Firefox 47.0 on a laptop. No location/screencap because it's a full-screen thing with no URL bar that I recall, and I closed the browser so fast when it happened because of fears of virus from past experience, that I'm not taking time to do screenshots. I have AVG antivirus, which didn't find anything.
Doesn't happen on every visit to the forum, but I'm not going there much now because it looks like your service is booby-trapped and I don't want to spend hours running antivirus checks and laptop backups every time it happens. Evil or Very Mad

I have seen no one report this, but I exactly got one a couple days ago that is related to the scam/virus that freezes up our browser. You get a message that says if you pay a certain amount of money you can fix your computer. I could not get the screenshot or link, because it was too fast. Also I closed the browser when I noticed the link in the browser.

    Hi,
Some of our users also reported the same issue on mobile site re-direction.
We initially thought it could just be due to bad ads, but it looks like a similar issue to what's happening in the other forums. Can you guys help?

A better explanation of the symptoms has been posted by some of our users here:

    Many thanks,

    Hello @Hi-Fi 4 Sale,

We will need more information in order to take action. More specifically :

    - Ads displayed on PC, on tablet, on mobile (android, apple,...)
    - Image location (copy and then past here)
[ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC) - Page 2 Ads_vi11
    - The link location (copy and then past here)

[ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC) - Page 2 Ads_vi10
    - Link on the ads and copy-past the final link

Same things been happening at my forum.
I've been notified by a few members that its been redirecting them to ads that won't let them click away from the virus warning.
They were forced to hard close their browser to avoid clicking the 'ok' button.
a member wrote:"You're phone may have a virus!" In big flashy letters. It kept wanting me to hit "ok" to download some s**t
The second was a red page filled with virus alerts
It hit my phone five times before I realized it was being triggered by an ad. I logged in and it stopped because I'm ad free when logged in.

a new report that just came in from a member:
    a member wrote:Hey it didn't redirect!
It wasn't a pop up really, it was an banner ad at the bottom of the page that would activate its link without clicking
And it would leave and go to the ad page

    EDIT:
I turned off sponsored ads on the forum, to make sure our guests don't get these harmful ads.
It seems to have worked- nobody is getting that ad anymore.
