Re: New forum header
Crikey! So much choice!
How are you able to change the colour and icons on my forum? That's really clever!
It would be really useful to know how to do that to preview how changes might look before pressing the submit button.
I could give the forum a facelift quite often at this rate!
The grey you've used [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is exactly the same grey as I'm already using so don't know why it doesn't blend.
eta: I've tried uploading the images but I still prefer the grey background, but maybe with the new images and a red circle around the people?

Re: New forum header
There's no trick here - it's only image editing.
You have a gradient at the top of your header somehow it should be removed so the banner image would blend.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
If you want to keep the gradient, then here's the banner with transparent background.

Little icon used on the preview images if you were to change it.

Re: New forum header
Hmmmmm.....this is frustrating because I can't see where the gradient could be. I didn't even realise I had a gradient! I've been through the 'colours' in the Admin Panel and changed all the grey's to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and it's still the same.
I agree that there must be a gradient though because when I've tried to make the background header a slightly lighter grey then there is a clear block of grey at the top which is a different colour. But it's still there even though I've now changed all the greys to the same colour.
Not sure I like the people with a red background, although I do prefer the picture of Wendy Murphy.

Re: New forum header
The gradient is a background image you have added there. Check your CSS.
If you want to get rid of it I think you're supposed to delete this:
If I were you I'd certainly add a color to the gray to make it less dull - but if you prefer to keep everything grayscale go for it.

- Code:
background-image: url(https://2img.net/i/fa/prosilver_grey/bg_header.gif);
background-repeat: repeat-x;

Re: New forum header
I like having some colour in the header as with the blue circle, but I prefer a natural background for the people like the one you did here, but with the new Wendy Murphy photo
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I'll go and have a look for that code in the CSS.
eta: Nope, can't see a code like that - except in the 'online' 'offline' avatar images.

Re: New forum header
How about this one?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
As for the code, odd, it should be there. However, if we don't want to be scolded we should not go off-topic here, so make a topic about the issue in the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] section.

Re: New forum header
Yes, that header looks good....but now it's gone back to being blurry! I can't remember how I saved it and uploaded it to make it look clear
This is the code I've got at the moment for the current header [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I don't know how to get the code for your images unless I right click which makes them blurry.
Plus George Galloway's got the top of his head missing...all their heads need to be in view.
Thank you [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Re: New forum header
you need to decide which banner you want and then we will find the best resolution
now you are making circles

skouliki wrote:you need to decide which banner you want and then we will find the best resolution

Sorry skouliki but, as I said just a couple of posts ago, I like this banner but with the new Wendy Murphy (and Alex Thomson) photos and all their heads visible. I like the natural backgrounds rather than red, blue, orange, grey, white etc.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It would then look like this, but George Galloway's head, in particular, needs to come into the frame so the top of his head isn't missing.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Then I need a code like this [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which is the one that's on my forum now.
Re: New forum header
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], this is a graphics request section, if you need a code, you need to create a new post in the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], now if this design is completed, Mark this request completed, you have been provided enough sample for your forum. We will NOT provide you a code here in this section.
