Dear members i come to you with a new thing we should have added to the banning system on our ACP

Right now we can ban a IP address and put the wild card on the end t ban more then one ip address
What i would like to see added is a Host banning tool

How it would work is

Say you have 3 spammers and they all have different ip addresses but the host is the same
like 123hotshot.com

Now to ban the Host you would copy the address gave on the IP address of the member then add it to the ban list
it would then ban any more members accounts getting made with that host.

You could then set a time for the ban to last "Say 3 weeks" the banned Host would then be added to a old banned host list after the time is up so you can keep a record of this for a later date. yes you would have the power to remove the Host in the ACP if you no longer wanted it.

What do you all think about this

I think this is way overdue, this should have been added already to the banning system.

It's a very good suggestion, we could use it here on the Support Forums.

A host ban is not a bad idea, especially if you can set a certain time period.

Finally, a way to Combat Trolls or toxic users, i agree this needs to be implemented

Yeah, I definitely agree with this. I support this 100%. Hopefully it gets added. Out of all things that could be added for security sake this is definitely top priority.
