First topic message reminder :

I am suggesting that we have the option to edit or remove the timeout time for the chatbox. It gets irritating when we get kicked out of the chatbox after a shortwhile of inactivity.

Its not that they cant do it, its that they unfortunately have not decided to change or remove the feature or atleast enable us the option to disable us. They can do it if they want to.

Let us just keep trying and hopefully one day they will decide to do it. In the meantime, there is an alterantive chat you can use .

The topic talks about logging members into the chatbox automatically, however near the end I also talk about disabling the timeout. Your members will still appear as 'away' but when they get logged out, they'll automatically be logged back in.

This should be a thing, I would love to have this up and working as the chatbox does sets people away and/or disconnected rather fast.

Let's keep them coming everyone. Maybe one day, maybe just one day, if we can keep being presisent, FM will implement this for the standard chatbox.

Voted yes. Hate getting timed out while im working on the forum or making a post. Be nice to be able to sit back and wait for people to hop in without having to bump me back in all the time.

You're staff and they don't even care about this suggestion you obviously care a lot about, they've redesigned the chatbox once & ignored this, what's their beef with not implementing something that should have been done from the beginning? The short timeout is pathetic.

Please take into consideration the staff here are only volunteers who don't work at the main office and only dedicate their real-time to help members here on the forum. Also, even though suggestions get a lot of "yes" votes, it doesn't mean it will be implemented.

Yes as Draxion said, we dont work directly for FM, we are simply volunteers who help run the support forum. Just cause a staff supports something doesnt mean it gets done, its up to the head office completely.

I dont see why they still havent created an option like this of some sort yet as this has had quite the support of the whole community with 95% of the votes being yes.

Forget that I support it, consider that almost everyone supports it and it should be implemented.

Let us just keep the yes votes coming and maybe one day, they will implement this.

Assuming the main reason for a "no" on implementing something that has as many yes votes as this is technical reasons, and also assuming that if there were technical reasons this couldn't be done the support would have halted discussion of this suggestion to begin with, what other reason could there possibly be for not doing this after all this time?

Another improvement that we have been waiting for a long time to see if now with all the updates for the CB this falls within those improvements.
