activation email

I am trying to set up a new forum and I am not receiving the activation email. Does it take a while for this, or is something wrong? I've checked my spam and junk folders all day, but nothing! Please advise

You should first activate the accounts for activation, to do that, go to admin panel>users & groups>user options>'new accounts activation': set it to user>save

This is not for accounts. I am trying to set up an all new forum and it tells me an email has been sent with an activation key in order to "create" the forum, but I'm not getting that email with the key.

oh, ok sorry for that, have you checked it again(your e-mail) after 12-24 hours you've created the forum?

Will it take that long, cause the message that pops up says it will take only a few minutes?? I remember when I did my other forum, it didn't take long at all. I tried to register this afternoon, should I wait until tomorrow afternoon? I thought there was a problem, so I tried 3 times, should I ignore 2 and approve just one?
