Hidden Users

I manage the Gold Detecting and Prospecting forum. It is open which means that anyone can read the information

When looking at who is accessing the forum it often has

11 members, 1 hidden 22 guests.

Who is a hidden user and how do you find out who it is?

A hidden user is someone who registered. All admins (and mods if you have it enabled) can see the username. It is in italics.

Thankyou , I can now see them, but why are the classed as hidden as aposed to a registered member

They put yes to "Hide my online status" in their preferances

If a member clicks hide me in their profile only admin and moderators can see them no one else will see thier username

People normally do this to conceal their online status to other members for personal or other reasons. As the others have said, they can choose when to hide or unhide themselves from the forum.
