    How do I set the permissions properly so that the moderators can ban members?

    Hi Mcstormify

    Admin panel >>> General>> Security>> (Disallow moderators to ban members : :NO ) then save.

    That will let your mods ban others.

    It would be great to give mods permission to send mass mails out too without giving them access to the admin panel.
