How to make facebook field compulsary

I have tried to set my group so it is compulsary to add a facebook link when joining, but members are still able to join without it

I have set up the facebook contact field so that it is necessary, but when I go back to all contact fields there is no * next to facebook link to show it is compulsary field...can anyone offer any advice please?

When i try to register it does ask me the facebook link.

but I am still getting members joining up without a link...how are they able to do that?

Okay, after adding the profile have you hit replace the content?

no, just had a look at it and not sure exactly what it will do...will it remove all the settings as I have them not?

it was always there....if you read the first post you will see I was asking you how to make it so it was a compulsary field so newbies could not register without a link....but now thanks to mis-information I have lost over 5000 members facebook links! Is there any way of retriving them?

Nopes, there is no way to retrieve it back.

Also, you nowhere mentioned that you see the links. You just said you can see users joining without filling in the facebook link. Anyways, i am sorry if some message of mine was confusing to you.
