This is the problem I am experiencing.

Link text being over written, and not showing. Links not going directly to target but to a confirmation page.

Here is an example of my link text being overwritten and not displaying.
Code:
[url=http://www.mediafire.com/?0ddvtqzmllz]text[/url]
text

Here is screenshot of the confirmation page.

It seems forumotion is doing this:

http://charlemagne.createforum.eu/go/

That shows part of the link hijacking.

I've had a look at the page source code and found the problem:

<a href="http://charlemagne.createforum.eu/go/mdfr/?0ddvtqzmllz" target="_blank">Mediafire.com 0ddvtqzmllz</a>

Forumotion is automatically changing my links.

When will this problem be solved?

Thanks.

Links being over written. Warnin11Please don't double/triple post unless it’s been 24 hours from your last post. Use the edit button if you wish to add more information to your question.

My guess would be that its a new feature and would like to make sure users are knowing what they are downloading or opening. Another staff member has asked about this so I am waiting to hear back.

Well they would know what they are downloading if this so called "feature" didn't overwrite the descriptive text I typed!

As it is, I now need to place the text above the forumotion hijacking link.

So hardly a feature. It is a problem that needs to be fixed.

It seems to act on certain urls. If that is the case I will simply be forced to find file hosting that forumotion does not hijack.

It is absurd to call this problem a "feature"!

Like I said I will get back to you on what it is. Please don't argue with me about my thoughts when I said I guess.

Listen, you expressed an opinion and I expressed a different opinion. Get used to it!

Like I said I will get back to you on what it is.

You said no such thing!

This is what you wrote:

No where in that do you state or imply you will get back to me. So don't claim to have said something when you didn't and just expect to let that stand unchallenged.

Now that I know you will in fact get back to me, I look forward to that and thank you.

but i dont see what the big deal is either.

You don't see how the link text not showing up, and the link being hijacked by forumotion is not a "big deal"? Unbelievable!

Please do not reply here again as I am only interested in a solution, and not in hearing excuses for such invasive behaviour by forumotion.

If forumotion want to behave like a totalitarian, then they are obviously not a suitable place to have a forum.

What right do they have to hijack links? None! It is unacceptable! Period!

Unacceptable! You will not be rude to another staff member here again. Just because there is a problem you don't have to go off. We are allowed to reply to anything we want. I don't see where we can't. We know its a problem and has been forward to someone that is going to take care of it. In the meantime you will sit back and wait till its fixed and if you continue to be rude to another staff member or user you will get a serious warning or even a ban from this forum.
