Making a Custom Script

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to make custom scripts/programs that can run in the forum I co-admin?

It's a roleplaying forum and we just need a few things (albeit some are complicated) to maximize the experience:

1) Firstly, we need a script of some sort that counts the characters in a post and posts that number to a designated place - as an experience counter.

2) Secondly, we were hoping for something like Gaiaonline's shopping window screen, for items, etc., if that's possible?

3) And finally, something to add up the 'statistics' on an item and total them - Much like an RPG's system where it collects all the 'intellect' values from an account/character's gear and totals them up - If at all possible.
