Copyright

I having a problem with other website. It just like a war. The other website using a copyright to against my forum and they keep report an abuse . Not only that, they keep coming and argue with me make all the members left.

My forum is ssteam.
The other website that use copyright is ssteam.info.

They said that stole their name break the copyright. When I host the forum I didn't know there where another site that have same name. I did some research and I found this.

No, your forum is fine, don't worry about it. Having a similar name to another site doesn't harm anything.

so who is breaking the copyright you or them?
In either case you have to present proof that you or they have it copyrighted.
just because someone might have a trademark or copyright icon on there forum/website and they say it is copyrighted dose not necessarily mean it is realy copyrighted.

if you or them realy have it copyrighted then just send a copy of the legal documentation stating it is yours or there's.. if it all legit and indeed copyrighted. then you have to remove or change what ever is copyrighted or you can and will lose your forum due to tos copyrights violations.

As far as domain names go.. i have no idea.. i dont think two sites can have the same domain name.. so if you beat them to the name befor them then i would think they are beat.. it should not matter if they have the same name of there site copyrighted this is a web address we are talking.

but i am not 100% sure how it would work with web addresses.
But other then that any materials,names,slogans or logos.. if someone says they own them then tell them to submit pr off and you will be happen to remove or change what ever it may be.

Besides that everthing else can just be taken up with forumotions litigation's and they can decide what actions to take if any?

i think they are just mad because they are paying for there forum and yours is free .. dunno.

That's what i'm trying to tell them. They just can't cool down and keep reporting the abuse. I'm scare that forumotion will shut it down. They also said if the report abuse not working they will hack it down.

i would not worry about it.
they are just mad because you are similar to them.. and may be yours is better or you have more members.. dunno.
but the thread is here if you have any problems.. it dont seem to me like there is any copyright violations.. but whats all this hacking about?.. just like cheat cods and stuff for games or something?

And you now what i just googled it.. look at all the different stuff that comes up with ssteam

so just ignore them.. and look out for any new members you get for spamming or if they get people to go there and try to start trouble.

Just some guide helping people to win the games, because some people playing the games like 5 months and can't even beat it. They crying in front of the game, lol.

I want the admin to answer this threat to make sure my forum is fine.

Well if one of them see it then i am sure they will respond.. but like i said the thread is here incase you have any problems..
just be sure you do not have any other kind of violations and moderate and maintain your forum as usual and you should be fine.
