I have been trying to install a new theme onto my forum but no luck has come out of it. I have a theme which i bought. There is only an xml file in it and no css. When i try to put the contents of the xml in the administration panel>colors> in the css part it says something about having html code and removing it because it will cause errors. So how do i install my theme? There is no css in my theme folder. Theres all the icons and an xml file.

You can't directly install any theme on Forumotion unless it is a .bbtheme file. There are only 3 ways to install a theme...

1) Make a theme yourself
2) Get the .bbtheme file which works only with Forumotion.
3) Install a theme from http://hitskin.com

Its not possible to convert it to a bbtheme file.
You can make theme yourself using the images/icons provided in the theme you got.

You can add images in Admin CP > Display > Pics management

How do i make sure the format is the same? Like the styling. (css)

The original phpBB style and Forumotion style may differ, so it is possible that the CSS sheet won't work on Forumotion forum.

Still, you can try adding the code in the CSS (in admin panel > display > colors) and see if it works.

I told you there is no css. It is a xml. If i give you the imags and things and show you a screenshot of how it is meant to be, do you think you can make me the css? I dont know how to code. add me on msn. scottzhou104@hotmail.com

XML files won't work on Forumotion.
I think you have to code the CSS yourself and upload the images. There is no other way.

Coding a CSS for forum take too much effort and time, I won't do it for you.
