No file hosting for paid domain?
I find it EXTREMELY ridiculous that I cannot host files from my domain that I paid $20 for!
I want to add some flash to my site, but I can't store files! All I can store are images. Whats the deal?
Is there ANY possible way I can store files ON the site?

All you can do is upload some files to posts via attachments, but that's it.

Re: No file hosting for paid domain?
So if I were to upload it to a post, I could do /postname/filename.swf?
Because if not, then I am pissed.. I didn't spend $20 on a domain JUST to have it so I couldn't even store files..

Re: No file hosting for paid domain?
These are the supported files that you can upload to a post:
3g2, 3gp, bmp, doc, docm, docx, gif, jpg, m4a, m4v, mov, mp3, mp4, mpg, pdf, png, pps, ppt, pptm, pptx, swf, tif, txt, wma, wmv, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx, zip
With a domain, you can add more storage and remove ads. You can also create custom e-mails for your site.

Re: No file hosting for paid domain?
No, because in the end, I paid $20 for something that costs a heck of a lot cheaper, and I can't even customize it to its full potential. I can't even upload the flash file to a post!

Re: No file hosting for paid domain?
I highly doubt that will do anything.
If I can't use this to it's full potential I am taking action, it's a waste of money! I've been using this for 4 years and I am sickened at how cheap that is.
I thought the idea of forumotion was to give people powerful forum tools and to make it however they want, yet they are stripping you of the most prized ability? How does that work? I can't even upload files on the post uploader!

Re: No file hosting for paid domain?
I doubt it, especially if you have already used it on a domain.
If you want, you can PM Typlo and see what he says.

Okay, well one more question, how do I change the primary and secondary servers of my forum?

Re: No file hosting for paid domain?
You can't because you don't have access to your forum databases.

Wow. I give up.
I can assure you that I will not be wasting my money on this crap ever again -_-
Yay for the wasted days of HTML editing, Java editing, and Photoshop editing.
