Credit expiration time or storage space ?

I've seen a few posts about the credit time experation or storage space.

I have an option for either one on my admin page. Are they going by Time or storage space available ?

If by the " time " ,,,, do the pic's that are already in the gallery stay there or do they disappear ?

I'm confused ..........

I think they disappear or you get some kind of error when you click on those images.

Yes storage space based on time of a month.
