Anonymous Posting

I would love to allow users on my board who are registered and are in a specific group to post anonymously. I think having a "Post Anonymously" button when a user creates or replies to a topic would be a great feature to have. I can explain further if necessary

Voted no. If that were to happen, and a flamewar were to arise, it would cause more harm than good to deal with finding anonymous person. I realize admins could probably find out who it is regardless, its more effort for me and the mods to try and figure out if somebody decides to troll.

The "Post Anonymously" button would not be a requirement. It would be a field the admin could turn on or off (ideally). This would only be used for specific forums where personal issues are discussed and people don't want to be identified at all. For the vast majority of forums, yes this could certainly turn into a spam war, I agree with you. I just want the option for those of us who could really use that.
