Editing Background Without Repeating

I'm trying to have my background set in the center, and have a dark gray repeating to the sides once the window gets maximized.
Everytime it gets maximized, the background repeats itself.
How would I do it so the body with the background image stays in the center?
Once it gets maximized, I want a dark gray color spread to the sides, and not the actual graphics.
