a few questions about administration panel tools

so i have recently switched from freeforums.org
and i just wanted to know the following things, because my forum is a gaming clan forum.

1.how can i make a widget for portal with "recent new members" or "newly registered users"
2.how can i made a special "rank" like "Admin" or "Clan member" to a group?
3.how can i make a "legend" for example "Admins"::"Mods"::"Clan Members"
4.is it possible to rename the buttons on top of the forum? "Home Portal Gallery Calendar FAQ Search Create a free forum Memberlist Usergroups Profile You have no new message Log out"

that doesn't work Sad

i actually want to rename "home" to "Index"
and i figured out how to make a legend of members.

3. you didn't explain how to make a default rank for a group.
you showed how to make a rank.

i already have a custom made rank, i need it to be set for the group so that when i add a person to the group, he automatically gets the rank.

4. Admin Panel > Display > Pics Management > Advanced Mode > Change it there, you may choose for your 'home' name to 'index' by getting a navigation bar that has the fonts 'Index' on it which is graphically made.
