Head to: Admin panel >> Display > Structure and hierarchy > Hierarchy Sub-level links on index :

No hiearchy doesn't work I like the set up of the board.They have titles centered ect.

Yes, it is definitely possible.
It is designed to be easily customised. With some CSS knowledge, you should not have problems getting that look and feel.

you know thats a lot of stuff on there you cant just build everything at once.
You have start small and work you way as you go along.

Fist i would try to find what skin the are using, and they are probably using css, they may be using some template editing as well depending on the version?.

scroll down to> Split categories on index>select medium >click save

Strike that. it's powered by V-bulletin.

But dose not necessarily mean you cant create something similar to the set up
