I have some javascript I need to insert in my overall_header where exactly would I put it?

In the <head> tags?

Hi, yeah inside HEAD tags or you can call javascript without editing templates, from the forum's description, go to admin panel - general - forum / configuration, in 'Site description' put: <script src='URL' type='text/javascript'></script> - where 'URL' indicate the link of the html with the javascript code (previously create an html page on modules - html / html pages management). you can use either method. greetings.
