Dear Editor,
The letter to the editor from Ron R. Fischer, Elgin, in the March 17 issue prompted me to write. I am a huge Jeopardy fan from way back, starting with Art Fleming’s daytime Jeopardy.
Watson! I have yet to find any person who enjoyed the three-day episode of the appearance of the massive computerized Watson on Jeopardy. However, I was pleased when Watson failed to answer correctly the first (“Biggy” as I call it) final. And both Brad and Ken did. I also grinned big, closing of third day when Brad held two fingers representing ears behind Watson’s head area — and Ken stood behind Watson waving his arms!
All the man-made computers in the world can never equal or surpass the greatest computer ever: The human brain, created by, who else, God, of course.
