Images resize doesn't work? Empty Images resize doesn't work?

It's my friends forum. She has tried different settings in Admin Panel >> Messages and e-mails >> Configurations >> Image resize, but nothing seems to work.

Images don't get resized.

You can take a look in this topic, exp. second post.

What could be the problem?
