I need help with my background as well.

I am setting up a forum, like I did once before, using this very site. However, the background won't change from stock, though I upload it to an image site, copy the image URL and paste it to the background thing in Admin Panel - Display - Pics Management - Advanced - Background...

You most liely have conflicting CSS. Post this replacing the body tag that was originally there, that is, change the image link

No. You don't need to post it in CSS.
You have to find that part of the CSS and remove the photo link. That photo link in body is the blue background behind your forum.
Replace the link with the brown background.
