Space between posts

Hello there,

I am having a slight problem with adjusting the layout of my forums and wondered if anyone could help or shed some light on the problem.

Basically, Between each post, I want to add a margin so that once I add some CSS border radius, it will look nice.

My understanding was that the best place to add the margin would be to add a break into the template for that area that way it will automatically become generic for all post pages rather than all of the row_1's on the forums. However, I am struggling to locate the correct piece of code I need to change to implement my idea.

I'm not bothered if I have to change the style's of the div's to make it work because that was my plan anyway as row_1, row_2 etc are used a fair amount throughout the whole of the forums and I don't want the radius being added to everything.

I have also added an image below to help explain the problem.



The forum I am trying to implement this on does run BB2.

Do you have any templates on your forum? I could probably make you something.

Other than the Subsilver theme for BB2, all templates are currently the default. The only thing I have changed is images and a few bits of CSS for colour.

What I meant was, do you have templates? If so, can you please post the one for posts here? I think it's called post bit or something

That's the problem, I'm struggling to work out which part of the templates contains the information we need to change.

Under the "Posts & Private Messages" section for templates, there is one called "posting_body" but that is for private messaging because it contains information about inbox and outbox.

Ok, that sort of worked. Instead of putting the space between each members reply it added a space between the bottom of the last post and the quick reply box.

Right, that seems to have completely messed up the side panel where the members details are.

If it's going to be easier to just do some messing with the CSS for the rows and create new styles for the bottom parts and then add a margin to them I can do that. I am just trying to make the forums as easy to use for an Admin as I can in case I stop running the forums and want to leave the control with someone else in the future.
