Solved Remove space between navbar and main banner?

Post by kwilliams on September 18th 2011, 3:11 pm

Hi! So after hours of scouring google and here I've given up, and need all you lovely people to help me with something:

Basically, I want to remove the space between the title banner image thing, and the navbar.

I've found a solution, but it involves me being able to use HTML, which I don't seem to have the option to edit where I should have, even though I'm using PHPBB2. So is there a way to do this in CSS? I found one way, but it broke half the forum and made some things disappear, so, you know, not really a working solution.

Any help would be REALLY appreciated!

The forum is - http://fingerboardhq.darkbb.com/forum . If it helps any of you guys solving this mystery, I'm not the founder of the forum, however he's long gone and I've been admin for ages. I've found before its only stopped me doing things such as buying things for the forum, and normally it says 'only the founder can do this' rather than not display an option what so ever, so, I'm thinking this isn't the issue at all. Just thought I'd mention it anyway.

thanks in advance to anyone who can be some help! Smile

ALSO, if this should be in the CSS+HTML help section of the forum and not here, someone please move it. I wasn't sure so I put it here.

Hi,

I think Javascript would be the solution to it.
Proceed to Admin CP > Modules > JavaScript codes management.

Create a new script there, placement should be 'In all the pages', and add the following codes there and save...

Code:
$(function(){
$('.maintitle').hide();
$('.maintitle').next('br').hide();
$('.maintitle').prev('br').hide();
});
